WEG ist nicht nur der weltweit führende Hersteller für Elektromotoren.
Das brasilianische Unternehmen hat sich auch zu einem globalen Lö-
sungsanbieter entwickelt. Genau das verdeutlicht seit 2007 auch ein neu-
er, international unverwechselbarer Markenauftritt. Durch den Relaunch,
den wob mit seinen Partnern aus dem BBN-Netzwerk von der strate-
gischen Planung bis hin zur Implementierung aller Maßnahmen begleitet
hat, hat sich WEG weltweit die gewünschte Beachtung gesichert. Zunächst
konzipierte dafür ein auf Kunden- wie auf Agenturseite erfahrenes glo-
bales Team die neue, differenzierende Markenstrategie: Die Mission von
WEG ist es demnach, ,,kontinuierlich und nachhaltig zu wachsen und dabei
unkompliziert zu bleiben". Die Vision besteht darin, ,,top of mind zu sein,
wenn es um elektrische Maschinen geht -- mit breitem Produktspektrum,
effizienten und kompletten Lösungen". Der Claim ,,Transforming Energy
into Solution" bringt die Ausrichtung auf die Lösungskompetenz zum Nut-
zen des Kunden auf den Punkt.

The WEG mission statement: Continuous, healthy growth while
maintaining simplicity.
WEG strives to grow fast, yet in a healthy way. Our goal is to maintain
the simple business structure that allows us to act and react in a fl exible
manner. We want to offer the best of both worlds: the capabilities of
a global player matched with a highly personal approach to customer
relationships.
Our vision:

What you hold in your hands is more than the new WEG Brand-
book. It also represents the future of WEG.
WEG has come a long way to be the successful company it is today.
Who would have thought, back in 1961, when Werner Ricardo Voigt,
Eggon João da Silva and Geraldo Werninghaus founded WEG in Jara-
guá do Sul, that their shared vision would grow so fast and have such
global potential?
The initials of our founders remain with us in our company name. So
does their spirit of personal commitment and family culture, their as-
piration to grow, to improve, to face challenges and to master them.
It is this set of ambitions that led us to reconsider our brand. WEG is
already very well known in Brazil ­ but not all over the world. Not yet.
We work on a global level already. The next logical step is to act and
communicate in a global way as well ­ in order to become the world-
wide brand we want to be.
The brand strategy we have developed with our global branding teams
serves this purpose: to create one strong and truly global WEG brand.

n itself, it is not a revolution, but an evolution. It draws on existing com-
pany values and characteristics, and focuses them in a way that will help
us communicate who we are and what we have to offer in a clearer,
stronger and more differentiating manner.
We hope that this brandbook will serve you in many ways. As an
